Caroline Cusanelli This novella is going to follow Wendy!! It's quite different from anything I've written before, and leans toward both romantasy and psychological thriller.

Wendy Estridon’s life has been consumed by emotions—but never her own. As an empath unable to silence her power, her gift is both a blessing and a curse, isolating her from the world she longs to be part of.

Haunted by “the boy,” a shadowy embodiment of her darkest thoughts, she struggles to untangle reality from the chaos within.

As secrets about her mother’s death and a universe on the brink of collapse surface, Wendy must confront not only the dangerous truths around her but also the relentless presence of the boy—her constant companion and greatest adversary.
Caroline Cusanelli Really really soon!! I'm hoping mid August! I'm so obsessed with that cover.
Caroline Cusanelli Gosh, honestly I think a lot of my childhood favs inspired this. The first that comes to mind is the Mortal Instruments series! I loved those in my pre teens/early teens, and I think there are a lot of little similarities in The Fated Blood Trilogy. A Liar's Twisted Tongue is definitely a culmination of all my fav things--romance, fantastical politics, and rich lore. I think another thing that inspired me was Delena (LOL). The amount of times I was writing Lucian and thinking of Damon's facial expressions makes me laugh sometimes. I'm also a sucker for all things John Green, and think that a bit of him may have snuck in here, in some way--even though the genres are so different.
Caroline Cusanelli Definitely the world building. A large part of this book's plot (and the trilogy) is the weapon. It's at the heart of the story, but in the original version of A Liar's Twisted Tongue, I don't think the reader got to properly grasp exactly what this weapon could do. While it's still mysterious, there are some crumbs and explanations added that I think will add to the terror. There's also a couple extra lines of banter that I'm obsessed with!
