Weslie Jensen Haha no. I run from horror.
Weslie Jensen Lord of the Ring's Shire comes first to mind. Gotta surround me by that greenery.
Weslie Jensen I black out without warning, anytime anywhere, and wake up with the feeling my body has been possessed by a demon while I was unconscious.
Weslie Jensen This is a much hated answer but...I don't know. I remember in high school I was in the mood to write a dark fantasy that revolved around a mythical monster. I was sick of the vampires, werewolves, and pixies. I wanted something different. I discovered doppelgangers when doing some research, and was further encouraged to use them when some odd events happened in my life. Of course, the actual plot had to be created and honestly....all I remember was doing a lot of walking.
Weslie Jensen If I'm moving, an idea will spark inside of me. It's more of a blessing than a curse as I have already too many ideas for one lifetime. Regardless, I carry a small notebook with me everywhere I go. Even if I'll never be able to write all of the stories, it will still be nice to look back and read about the ones I came up with.
Weslie Jensen I have a document filled with book ideas-some started, most untouched. But the books I am focused on publishing at the moment would be The Veiled Series. I have written books and short series before The Veiled, but I have never put half as much heart into them. The Veiled is, in short, my real beginning.
Weslie Jensen "...Writers? Writers starved. Writers suicided. Writers went mad." -Charles Bukowski.
There are many different types of writers. But I believe the best are the ones that push themselves as far as they can go, and then farther. Anyone can write, but if you want to be a good writer, don't just aspire for it. Fight for it.
Weslie Jensen For me, it's the freedom. To be able to speak what you want, make your own decisions, and escape reality. To vent all your emotions down, be completely honest, and own it.
Weslie Jensen Long showers, solo walks, and music are my usual cures to writer's block. Movement helps push my mind that has come to a standstill. Plus, it's nice to take a step back and time out.
