This novel has already garnered 10 book awards (pre-publication). It's based on a true story of the redemption of a fascist assassin in Wiemar Germany and examines the transition in Germany from democracy to Nazi dictatorship. Here's a link to a newspaper interview:

Thank you for your review of Life in a Jar. The play is remarkable. I'm only sorry that I can't be there with Norm and the kids from Kansas. They are an inspiration for us all to do what we can to repair the world.
