What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Steve Williams For several years, I have focused on music books as part of my research for my own book. Among the most compelling titles in the music genre, in my opinion– David Byrne's How Music Works, Ted Gioia's Music - A Subversive History , Kelefa Sanneh's Major Labels. A History of Popular Music in Seven Genres, and Bob Stanley's two classics – Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!... and Let's Do It. I am currently reading My Name Is Barbra, and recently finished Black AF History, Michael Harriot's hard hitting non-musical best-seller.
