Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Susan Segal Oddly enough, the Kennedy family. I was always fascinated by how much tragedy that family endured and yet its members not only persevered, but made meaningful contributions to the world. I often wondered how I would deal with such adversity (not well, I feared) and that prompted me to write a book about someone who loses everything that matters to her and has to find a reason, a way, to carry on.
