Nicolle Morock Sure!
One morning, I woke up and everything I had not been grateful for the day before was gone. That meant that everything was gone.
Nicolle Morock Well, now that it's September, I'm going to answer this question as if it says "fall reading list." I borrowed "Robert The Doll" from a friend, and I really should read it before anything else on my list. It's about a creepy doll that is supposedly haunted. Right up my alley! After that, I have a stack of books that I bought this summer including, American Gods, The Ghost Studies, Hunt for the Skinwalker, The Biggest Lie in the History of Christianity, and one that I can't see from here - a signed copy of a book about pirates and sea captains that I bought in Beaufort, NC, last month.
Nicolle Morock I actually started writing Tritium as a screenplay back in the early '90s for a script writing class at North Carolina State University. I wrote enough to get a decent grade and set it aside. Years later, I found the unfinished script in a box and toyed with the idea of making it into a novel. Finally, one day, the story started flowing. The hardest part all along was deciding how to end it. I changed the ending three times before I finally felt comfortable with it.
Nicolle Morock Inspiration hits me when I'm supposed to be using the analytical part of my brain. So, basically, I just need to be trying to focus on data or math or anything at work with a hard deadline. My mind is a bit rebellious.
Nicolle Morock I'm halfway through writing a book about my experiences as a paranormal investigator. I think I offer a unique perspective as an empath/intuitive who also happens to be a scientist and occasionally a skeptic.
I also have another novel brewing in my head. The story is coming together, but I haven't started typing it yet.
Nicolle Morock Keep at it, and don't edit while you write. You'll never finish. Also, make sure you have more than one trusted proofreader when you're done editing. The more eyes, the better. With Tritium, four of us caught different mistakes and typos on different pages, and Word caught even more.
Nicolle Morock My world = my rules. When else can you say that and really mean it?
Nicolle Morock I'm horrible at dealing with writer's block. I just procrastinate instead, which is why it took so long for me to finish writing The Tritium Hypothesis. I promise not to take years to finish the book I'm writing currently, though. I've decided that I should make writing more of a priority since I enjoy it so much.
