I got the idea for the Factions series by trying to work through the emotional turmoil I felt as a teen/young woman as I endeavored to make my way in the world. I was frustrated by the state of the world around me and felt the only thing I could do was write.

To be honest, I don't have the answer to that. Sometimes it's from seeing something beautiful and sometimes my mind hangs on a word until I figure out how to start my writing with it.

You're only a writer as long as you write. Don't give up. Also, don't worry about publishing. Write what you want first, figure out if you want to publish it later.

The best thing about being a writer is being able to create with only the restrictions my mind has. I don't have to worry about what a computer can handle or how realistic a 3D model has to look. It's all in the imagination.

I go away for a little bit and play some video games or watch a movie and then come back to it. Usually I just need some space from the project. If it's a huge project (like my current series) sometimes I take a few weeks vacation and work on a different project until I have a breakthrough.
