So far, THE GIRL IN THE PICTURE by Denise Chong, OPTIMISTS DIE FIRST by Susan Nielsen. ORIGINALS: HOW NON-CONFORMISTS MOVE THE WORLD by Grant Adam. THE LAST TRAIN: A HOLOCAUST STORY by Rona Arato. INDIAN HORSE by Richard Wagamese. I'm taking a break from fiction as I get so many to review for my blog.

One morning a fairy came through my garden door and was injured by the neighbour's cat. I nursed her back to health. It was difficult finding enough nectar to feed her as she healed. Before she returned to fairyland, she granted me wings but they only appear on solstice and equinox days.
(The wings are actually a sculpture. When I stood in front of it, my husband noticed it looked like they were mine and took a picture.)

Adam and Mia from "If I Stay" written by Gayle Forman are one of my favorite fictional couples. They were mature, complex, interesting, loving, and creative characters. They loved each other but were also able to see the challenges ahead.

I'm working on a young adult paranormal novel set in Elizabethan England as well as a picture book about how dragons should be treated. I'm trying a completely new illustration style that is achievable with Parkinson's Disease which has given me very challenging tremors.

This is a rather strange question especially since the book has already been reviewed and rated on Goodreads and Amazon. Please message me and I'll give you my address.

Since I always have several projects on the go, I'll drop the project momentarily that I'm stuck on work on something else. The first project will still be rumbling around in the back of my mind. I may not get back to it for months. I think working on several things eases up the pressure of solving a problem immediately.

Justified daydreaming.

Read constantly. Read heavily in the genre you wish to write but also read on a wide variety of subjects.
Write, rewrite, edit, rewrite, edit, show it to someone, start over again.

I wish I could say there was some kind of trick. But then again, I am very fortunate in that I always have far, far more ideas than I have the time to write them down. I've always been a daydreamer.

My most recent book is Where is Baby? I've been spending a lot of time with my littlest granddaughter who is beginning to learn spatial concepts. After reading a number of picture books to her on this subject, I decided the market needed one that could connect with toddlers on the most basic level. So I used photographs of a baby/toddler in different positions to explain the concepts.
