From Ray's Discount House of Ideas. Actually, a number of ideas that had been floating around in my head for over a decade came together for Summer of Long Knives. The elements of the story came from Christopher Isherwood, Sir Ian Kershaw, the HBO film "Citizen X", "The Rockford Files", and lurid articles about H.H. Holmes and the murders of Kingsbury Run. When they all came together just right, the rest was writing.
