Lucy and Desi Arnez brought style, class, and humor to their depiction of Lucy and Ricki Ricardo on The Lucy Show. It would be difficult to find a better portrayal. Even after their divorce, they maintained a close friendship and working relationship.
In my own writing, I think Beth and Bill Thursten are an amazing couple. They risked their lives for each other while fighting for a better world for all mankind. They truly loved their children and raised them to be inquisitive and strong. <spoiler>: In the latest Betty adventure, Bill risks his life to rescue Beth. They truly love each other and found a way to make their marriage work despite the pressures of working for a spy organization and Bill being a double agent later in his career. Raising the children fell to Beth, including her roll in training Betty. Beth performed a difficult task for any parent, let alone an active spy handling a child being trained surreptitiously to be a world class agent herself.</spoiler>

Marie-Pier, thank you for that high praise! CONTROL is in progress now. I will reach the halfway point today in my first draft, but I cannot predict when I will finish the manuscript. The goal is to have CONTROL edited and ready for release as an ARC this summer with general release to bookstores in November. You will be in the front of the line for an ARC since you have read the first two books. Cross your fingers and wish me good health!

Do not give up. Ever. Keep writing and throwing out the junk. Eventually, you will learn to hear the characters tell you their story. Do not tell them what to do, let them tell the tale.

A story or plot will start like a Vine video, a movie short in my mind. It could be any interaction in daily life. I may see a news article, or participate in a conversation, or witness a couple talking, these things inspire a bigger story of what if.
