In any creative work there is the process and the end result. The process of writing a book and the process of writing a musical are very different, but I can't say I prefer one over the other. I love writing in both mediums.
But for the end result? Musicals are hard to beat. I rarely read my own books once they are published, but I really enjoyed watching Twisted after the show had opened. I went night after night - it was amazing to watch all of the hard work of my collaborators come together in something spectacular.

Between 1.5 years and 2 years. It's a long, hard process that involves rewriting over and over again. I've completely rewritten my upcoming book, THE WIZARD'S DOG 9 times!
