I allow myself time to step away for a while and do other things that I enjoy. This way I don't force myself to write but enter into a relaxing space where ideas flow naturally. I like to carry my notebook, jot things down, then get back to writing.

My advice is to stop say, "I want to write a book" and just start writing. Start with sentences that will turn into paragraphs, that will turn into pages. Next thing you know, you have a book! Also, stay consistent! You will have periods where you may need to take a break, but make sure you get back to it.

I've honestly written 4 other children's books that are just sitting in my computer. lol. Although I really want to start working to put them out, I think I want to create the grandpa version of my book 'Grandma Will Always Be Here With You. What do you think???

My 3 year old daughter inspires me to write! Every day we experience something new together whether its good or bad. This makes me think to myself, " I can't be the only one going through this" or "This is what worked for me" and I'll jot things down and create stories.

I had a lot of friends (who are parents) who lost their mothers. They were having a really hard time coping and even harder time trying to explain to their children what happened to their grandmothers. This is where I came up with the idea for my book 'Grandma Will Always Be Here With You'
