Jessica Goodwin When an idea comes to you, write it down because if you don't, then YOU WILL FORGET IT.

When you start writing, just write. Get it out. You can edit later.

When you're in the middle of writing, always, always, always save your work.

When you're done writing, back up your work.
Jessica Goodwin If the ideas aren't there, I don't have the energy, or I'm not in the mood to write, I don't force it. Sometimes that happens, and rather than struggle, I move on to something else, something that comes easier. Sometimes that might be cleaning my house, organizing my office, or checking things off my to-do list. Sometimes that might just be binge-ing a show on Netflix. But I don't usually stress because I know I'll get back into the writing groove eventually.
Jessica Goodwin I went back to school in 2017 for my ALM in Creative Writing in Literature so I'm constantly juggling school work, books, and blogging! I just finished taking a creative nonfiction writing class and this coming semester I'll be taking a TV writing class. Last year, I finished my 5th and 6th books, which I'm currently rereading and editing. And I'm always trying to blog more. In addition to my author blog, I have a family travel blog called Go With The Goodwins (www.gowiththegoodwins.com). Finally, I'm a MotherHustle panelist, so I guest post there monthly!
Jessica Goodwin From Facebook. I know sites like Facebook have been around for years now but it still amazes me how you can find someone and reconnect with someone that you completely lost touch with. What really amazes me is how a lot of the people that I talk to the most on Facebook are people that I didn't really hang out with or have a lot in common with in high school are some of the people that I talk to most these days. I kind of wanted to write about how sometimes, the people you were mean to, overlooked, or ignored in high school can end up being some of the nicest people you come to know as an adult. You might not have had much in common as kids, but as you get older, you realize there are more important things that can bring people together.
