How do you get inspired to write?

Debbie Kump I am inspired to write from spending time in the outdoors and use those experiences to create a believable background to my stories. Whether it's an unbelievably bitter cold winter day where snow devils swirl up the street or an amazing hike across lava beds of an active volcano, those experiences conjure up ideas in my mind and set the scene for my protagonists' own adventures.
