WHEN DO I GET ANOTHER ONE? Oh, my, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed "A Spell of Murder!" I've had issues with "talking" cats in books before, but your cats always retain their essential "cattiness." I have to congratulate you on your very finely-drawn characters in ALL of your books, BTW...I despise flat, single-dimensioned characters, and every character you write has both warts and wings.

What research did you do to find out about bunnies for your book 'When Bunnies Go Bad'?
Clea Simon I started writing "When Bunnies Go Bad" during that terrible winter, three years ago, when up here in Boston we had so much snow. I saw tracks of bunnies crossing our porch to eat the forsythia - the only shrub sticking out of the snow! Soon, I got to see them too! Then I read up on their behavior, to understand how they survived the winter. And then I reached out to a rabbit rescue group - they were wonderful about confirming and correcting what I had observed about bunny behavior. Thanks for reading!

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Clea Simon Write through it. If you don't feel inspired, just write something -- even if you know it's bad. Even if you know you won't save it, just write something. Once you start writing, even the awful stuff, the good will follow: think of it like letting the tap run so that the rusty water gets out of the way and the clear water will follow!

Clea Simon I just sent back the revised ms. for "Kittens Can Kill," the fifth Pru Marlowe pet noir, and am hard at work on the ninth Dulcie Schwartz feline mystery.
