Conceiving new ideas can be challenging and requires an element of inspiration that cannot be forced, in my opinion. As for 'writer's block', I do not tend to get it - at least not in terms of physically being unable to get any words down on the page as often depicted in mainstream productions. I try to remind myself and work on the basis that 'inspiration is for amateurs, the rest of us just go to work.'
