Joshua Culley I'm a storyteller at heart. I love telling stories. A book is a remarkably efficient container for those stories.
Joshua Culley Don't stop. Keep writing.

But if you want to people to read your book and keep thinking about it, spend a lot of time thinking about the theme of your story. Aside from "this was a great story," what do you want your reader to feel when they finish reading? Focus on that.
Joshua Culley I didn't plan for this first novel to be a part of a series, but after completing it, it dawned on me that this story is really a part of a larger picture of the life I'm trying to share. I'm working on the sequel right now, and I've got the preliminary structure of book #3 as well.
Joshua Culley This story follows parts of my own life as well as the life of my father. In many ways, this story is *my* story. It was a way to share the impossible tension of hope and hopelessness with people who grieve in similar ways.
