Sorry, Sruthi! This series is currently on hold. I may release it in a few years, but likely under a separate pseudonym since it's more graphic than my Day Leclaire stories.

I'm sorry, Ana. Right after I took it down I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was caught early, but I'm going through chemo right now. I hope to have the time and energy to get it up and running within the next 3-4 months. Thank you for taking the time to reach out!

Hi, Miracle! Thanks for taking the time to drop by.
Of my early Harlequin Romances, I'd have to say it's a tie between Her Secret Santa and Temporary Husband. I love those stories.
If I had to pick a Desire, I'd go with just about any of the Dante books.
And if I had to pick one of my recent independent books, I'd say Dante's Dilemma and the series I'm currently working on (which I've wanted to write for years!), The Dragon Brides.
Which is your favorite?
Best, Day

I'm so pleased you liked Old Flame, New Sparks. Unfortunately, the book is part of a Harlequin-owned series, so I can't use the characters in other books. Sorry to disappoint, but it's out of my hands! If there are any other characters in other books you'd like me to revisit, don't hesitate to let me know! Thanks for taking the time to write!

I've been working on a variation of The Dragon Brides for more than 5 years. It started out as an idea for a YA book and slowly morphed into my current story. I can't even remember anymore where the initial spark of an idea came from. Usually it begins with a "what if" and evolves from there. If I am able to take that "what if" and combine it with something else, something that takes the original idea and lifts it or spins and twists it, then I'm on to something that really appeals to me. Obviously, this idea really appeals since I've been spinning and twisting it for so very long.

Lol!! I do NOT get inspired to write. I put my backside in the chair, my fingers on the keyboard and just do it. The inspiration shows up at some point along the way, but I don't have any sort of ritual other than sitting down and working. Because it is a LOT of hard work and takes a LOT of discipline. It's just like any job... You have to show up to get it done. ;)

I had a number of my early books revert to me and I'm in the process of updating and publishing them. Right now I'm working on The Wedding Night (previously, One Night Wife), The Secret Baby, and Once Upon a Jinx (previously, Jinxed).
When I'm not working on those, I'm creating a new fantasy romance series called The Dragon Brides, which should be out spring of next year.

Never give up. If you want it, do everything you can to achieve it. Take classes. Read. Write every day. Rewrite every day. Hone your craft. But never give up!

Writing stories that I love. Spending each day creating. Setting my own hours (which is also the worst part of being a writer!) But most of all it's the process of creation--the world, the people, the events. It's just such a constant joy!

This is a tricky one. I've learned over the years that there are two types of writer's block. The first is: I've taken a wrong turn in my current manuscript and I need time to think through where I went wrong. When I feel like I'm stuck or find I'm procrastinating about work, it's usually for that reason and I will call up a friend and do some brainstorming.
The other type is when you face life challenges. Illness. A death. A move. These are harder because they're out of your control and you have to simply allow yourself time to deal with the emotional fallout. But the creativity does return. You just need to be kind and gentle with yourself.
Hope that helps!
