I knew I wanted to do an homage to Die Hard. I've loved that movie since it first came out. We watch every year at Christmastime. So much crazy goodness. :) I also knew I wanted to give Barb a hero worthy of her. Dangerous Game was the result. It should be out in a few weeks!

I am working on a shorter novel in the Black Cipher Files series. Dangerous Game features Barbara Williams, Lucas Goodman's former girlfriend, and the scientist who helps out in the first three books. It is a fun, fast-paced read (think Die Hard meets Korean Action/Adventure)

Always be working on your craft. Study work that you love and analyze why you love it. Study work you don't like, analyze why it didn't work for you. But always, always work on story.

If I'm really struggling, I'll try and write a scene from another character's point of view. If that doesn't work, I go back to basics. I pull out my Writer's Journey by Christopher Vogler and analyze the story structure to make sure I have the proper elements in place.
