This is a fun question. There are so many places. If I had to pick one, I would Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It seems like I would enjoy myself there.

I would say that something silly would be a plot I would use. Something like there being no milk in the fridge or running out of cereal. It would be a silly mystery, nothing too serious.
I am not sure if I can say that much of my own life is interesting enough for an actual mystery.
