Mia MP We sat around a table with a glass of water and a candle summoning a spirit, but nothing appeared. After a few minutes, I left my sisters and went to my room, a little pale boy asked me from my bed, “Do you want to play with me?”
Mia MP Create stories that help and inspire others. Make a change on people’s life and touch their feelings.
Mia MP Reading is an important source of knowledge and inspiration. Write and correct it, take a day or two and then, correct it again until what you had written is something that you will want to read.
Mia MP The Spanish edition of my book At the Same Time and a new article for an art magazine called Nagari.
Mia MP I get inspiration everywhere, my family, my friends, my students. Moments such as a rainy day, a sunset, a coffee while reading… Sometimes, I go to a park surrounded by trees and write sitting on the grass. My photography work is a good source of inspiration because I write about the story behind the image.
Mia MP I am also a professional photographer, a few years ago I made a photography series called At the Same Time and my recently book is a collection of poems inspiring on those images. My poetry has a personal narrative as the images have. Together, they expose different aspects of life such as love, heartbreak, healing, inner peace… Everyone could feel reflected on this book.
Mia MP I would travel to the Tolkien’s Middle-earth and go in the quest of destroying the ring.
Mia MP I received on my birthday an English edition of The Name of the Rose, I already read in Spanish language, but I love Umberto Ecco so I read the English edition. After that, The Bride Collector by Ted Dekker. I am reading now The Girl on the Ice by Robert Bryndza, and when I finish it, I will read Dead on the Dance Floor by Heather Graham. I am a library’s mouse, I can’t live without reading.
Mia MP I came from Cuba, we don’t have the kind of life that I have here in USA. The kids in Cuba play on the streets and nothing happens. I am a teacher here and my students spend most of their time in front of computers. One of the things that impressed me was seeing a crime scene a few months after I move to Miami. It was horrible and touching, I am always been attracted to thrillers, but it is completely different to have that experience. That could be a plot for a book.
