Alexia Purdy Hello Sharon, No, The Variance Court is not part of any of my series at the moment. Maybe, in the future, I will expand it, but there are no concrete plans for that right now.
Alexia Purdy Hello,
I am working on part 2 of Volatile Confessions but I do not have a release date yet. I am most likely releasing both parts as one when it's done. Thank you for reading it and your kind words. I will announce when it's done.
Alexia Purdy Hi Alicia, Sorry I just saw this. The Audibook for Amplified is now available off Audible, Amazon and Itunes. So are the two short stories for Reign of Blood series: Elijah, and Resonant.
Alexia Purdy Hi Alicia,
Amplified is in production right now. It should be done very soon and hopefully out for sale by June/July if not sooner. I listened to the first chapter a few days ago and I'm really excited for it!
Alexia Purdy I'll answer this for The Fall of Sky. That book has been in some stage of production for over a year and the initial idea came from a dream, which is how I get a lot of my ideas. I have strange dreams and I envisioned a girl who dressed like a rock star running away from a villain, whom she's just robbed. That's the concept for it when I thought it up and I had to write it down immediately. Over a year later and months fleshing it out to where the characters told me their story, I finally have finished it and can't be happier with how it went.
Alexia Purdy I get inspired by thinking about writing all the time. I tend to chew on a story all day long, in the shower, in the car, when I hear a song or even while trying to sleep. Most of my ideas need to be fleshed out a ton when I'm not at the computer so I do this most of my day, when I don't have much else going on. It helps a lot to have some sort of direction on where I need the story to go when I finally get to sit down and write, usually after the kids go to bed until the wee hours of morning.
Alexia Purdy At this time I am working on several novels and projects, as always. Right now I just released Part 4 of The Fall of Sky so I'm working on releasing the complete series in one book. Also, I have a collaboration story that I've gotten to do with the fabulous author J.T. Lewis called Ever Dead. It's a unique human prospective on the troubles the Land of Faerie is going through. That one is slated for end of March. Third, I have the second Elemental Fire series book called Legends of Fire in the works. I hope to get that out by end of April.
Alexia Purdy Advice...hmmm. That's always so hard for me to hand out but here goes... Write. Make yourself do it, at any age, for any amount of time, for any reason. Do it. Make the time to do it. There will never be enough time so just make the time. Whether it be after the kids are in bed, or an hour on the weekends, it adds up. The worst thing you can do is not write. Oh and, don't be so hard on yourself. Your writing gets a whole lot better as time goes on.
Alexia Purdy I get to tell my wacky stories to other people! It's truly my therapy and I have so many worlds in my head that need to get out or I'd lose my mind so it works out pretty well for me. That and I love being there for my family whenever they need me. It's a flexible job and I need that in this phase of my life.
Alexia Purdy I try to write through it. If that doesn't work, I read more to get back in that mode. It jumpstarts my creativity the more I read. I also listen to obscene amounts of music, all kinds. I also work on multiple projects at the same time to help alleviate it.
Alexia Purdy Yes! I love stories from Holly Black, Cassandra Clare, Anne Rice, Margaret Atwood, Laurel K. Hamilton, Charlaine Harris and Alice Hoffman. They all have been an extreme inspiration as authors to me and I continue to read and love their work.
