Well the end of 2015 unfortunately left me losing a considerable chunk of work for one of my projects. But I am still keeping to my goals of being able to release my 3rd book, aswell as looking for another publisher more suited to my style this time around.

The idea for Midnight Heat came from wanting to write my own thriller, and as it progressed I noticed alot of thematic similarities to the film, so decided to contact the filmmaker and see if I could actually work on an official novelisation. I never expected a reply but within hours he gave his blessing and from then it became a whole new entity.
The biggest inspirations were Maniac, Blindsighted, and Silence of the Lambs.

I find the best way is write at least a minimum of a page a day no matter the block; even if it's rubbish that I've written it can take me to a place I can really run with, and then on the next draft I can fix the issues.
But my main inspiration is to just start, usually a conversation or anecdote I've encountered in the day I'll write down to remember and I just don't stop and entire scenes can unfold without even my realising it.
