Knowing my words have created an emotional response in my readers makes my day! When a reader lets me know they've felt something for my characters, it makes me very happy. If they laugh at a funny scene, or cry during a sad one, I know my work here is done.

The idea of a vampire as an escort came about after I watched a documentary about professional call girls several years ago. A person who can't contract or transmit disease, who can read your every desire in your mind, and is naturally attractive to humans would make an excellent career as an escort. And trust me Rees Morgan is worth every cent! Your pleasure is his business.

Inspiration comes in different forms and at various times. Dreams have inspired me to write, so have movies, photographs, or even conversations. For book two, Rees Morgan's story, I was watching a documentary that happened to be on television about professional call girls. The subject matter intrigued me, and I considered that the pleasure industry would be a wonderful and well-suited career for a vampire. From those thoughts, came Rees Morgan, my Welsh vampire.

I try various things to rid myself of writer's block - from stepping away from writing for a time, to writing whatever comes to my mind, and I've even meditated to clear my head. Sometimes these things work. Other times I have to work on different projects until the block dissolves.
