What are you currently working on?
Christy Monson I have several projects. The most current is a series of easy readers with a self-help twist.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Christy Monson I don't have writers block. I have lots of ideas and lots of different projects I'm working on. If I can't think of something, I just go to another project.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Christy Monson It's a wonderfully creative process. I can let my head make up anything I want.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Christy Monson Get a critique group. I have several, and each of them gives me feedback on specific projects I'm working on. They are all great support, and I've made wonderful life-long friends in the process.

How do you get inspired to write?
Christy Monson I don't wait for inspiration to come. I sit down to write and inspiration comes while I'm writing.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Christy Monson My most recent book was requested by the publisher. Family Talk is an insightful book about family communications and meetings. I loved putting it together. It's a message of love, respect and synergy for families.
