L.A. Fatzinger I’d slip into the medieval abbey from Umberto Eco's 'The Name of the Rose,' losing myself in that winding, forbidden library the monks have guarded for centuries. I’d sift through every crumb of hidden manuscripts, stained with stories and secrets so old and rich that it would provide a lifetime of inspiration and knowledge.

Otherwise, I'd love to be sent back to 15th century Venice in the way Michelle Lovric so beautifully paints the city in 'The Floating Book.' And if I were there, I'd want to help Wendelin von Speyer operate his printing press.
L.A. Fatzinger Ah, this is an easy one. As a person who was adopted, all kinds of mystery come into play. While researching his book in the city’s ancient churches and archives, he stumbles upon documents that seem to connect his family lineage back to Austria, leading him down a rabbit hole of dark family secrets.
L.A. Fatzinger In the musty calm of a library basement, you watched as a centuries-old diary of brutal executions began inscribing new lines, detailing the life of the most recent deceased. Just before dawn, written in crimson ink, the letters of your name appeared, marking the diary's final entry.
