Great question. His book is a few years old, but "If you liked 'The Warehouse' by Rob Hart, you'll love my book." Hart creates flawed heroes with dubious backstories who are trying to find their place in a rapidly-changing world. That's what I tried to create--people who aren't always at their best as they navigate change and chaos, but ultimately find love.

I'm currently writing my second thriller which is about AI and the role it is already playing in our lives whether we know it or not. There are groups of people who are training AI today. We all should be a part of that effort.

If I'm stuck on a scene, I'll take a step back and look at the bigger picture and ask myself what the character's arc is and how this scene fits in that arc. That generally jolts me into the present.

As a kid, I was fascinated with Narnia. It was a place where normal people could be heroes and where the battles between good and evil were generally pretty clear. Except when they weren't!
