Aaron Sher
Like most urban fantasy authors, I suspect, my main inspiration was Butcher's Dresden Files series. It's one of my favorite series and one of the few that I regularly go back and reread from the beginning. I've put some effort into my books to make sure that they don't overlap too closely with DF, but some of the tropes of the genre are unavoidable. If you read carefully, you might pick out a couple of nods to Butcher along the way!
