How do you deal with writer’s block?
Susan Beth Miller Our newspaper situation is pretty bleak here and--being a university town--there are many many writers competing for attention! I did contact the library and they are carrying my book, but haven't bit at my idea of a book talk. A couple book clubs are reading the book. Thanks for your ideas, Bob. They are all good ones.

Hi Susan. I think a real key to book sales is getting newspaper reviews and reviews on Facebook pages. I think lots of sites authors turn to are just other author sites, not reader sites. Is your book in any of your local bookstores? Stay well, and God bless.
Susan Beth Miller My book is in Literati, a very nice local bookstore and has quite a few reviews on Amazon and a fair number on Goodreads. The only reviews on Facebook are posts and ads I've run with excerpts from longer Amazon reviews. No newspaper coverage. Any ideas? I appreciate the suggestions.

Hi Susan. I hope all is well with you and that your book is getting a following. I just finished reading Edith Wharton's "The House of Mirth." Also, you might want to check out "The Soul of an Octopus" by Sy Montgomery for something off the charts, at least it was for me. God bless. All okay there?

Thanks for your note. Not much is happening with my book I'm afraid, despite my social media efforts. I've heard of The Soul of an Octopus and saw an amazing TV drama called My Octopus Teacher. I bet you would enjoy it. I just re-read Light in August (Faulkner), a remarkable book from the 1930s. I posted a review on my blog. Take care, Bob. I hope you are well. Susan
