Vonda Sinclair Hi Cintia, When I first started writing and while targeting NY publishers, I received a lot of rejections from both editors and agents. Probably over 100. Unfortunately, if you're targeting publishers, rejection is a big part of this business and it can be discouraging. But now, there is indie publishing or self publishing. This puts you 100% in charge of your career. You still have to learn the craft of writing and learn how to put out top quality books. Regardless of how much competition there is (and there is a lot), if you put your heart and soul into your stories, learn how to write great stories that readers love, and be persistent, you can make it happen. To earn a living as an indie published author, you have to be a self-starter and also learn to motivate yourself. Plus, you have to love what you do, both the writing and the promoting. Since 2011, this is the best time for authors in history. I'm wishing you the best of luck! :)
Vonda Sinclair Hi Clarice, thank you so much for reading my stories! Yes, the rest of the books will eventually be in print. I'm not sure of the date. Thank you!! :)
Vonda Sinclair Hi, Yes, I'm planning for them to be on audio. Book 5, My Notorious Highlander, is scheduled to be recorded this month or next month. Thank you so much for listening to my books! :)
Vonda Sinclair When I first started writing, I read everything I could about craft, how to write. I read books, articles and took workshops. Practice because the more you write the more skilled you will become. Also it might be a good idea to join a critique group, but it should be one that fits you and your writing. Not all critique groups will help you. Hope this helps. :)
