Lenora Rain-Lee Good Good question. I'd really like to see my hometown of Kennewick the same as Mercy Thompson does (Patricia Briggs)--complete with werewolves, fae, &c. I'd like to see the world of the Others as created by Anne Bishop, and I'd love to visit Three Pines in Quebec (Louise Penny). What would I do there? Assuming I survive, I'd observe, and get to know the people and Others. Learn new customs and traditions. Find a job. Contribute to my new world.
Lenora Rain-Lee Good I don't think I have a favorite fictional couple, other than the couple (if one) in the fiction I'm reading at the time. I have lots of favorite fictional characters--and read series by authors I enjoy, such as Patricia Briggs, Anne Bishop, Tricia Owens. Which are my favorites? Whichever author I'm reading at the moment. ;-)
Lenora Rain-Lee Good Work on another project, email the character who is causing the problem (I send it in care of me) and sleep on it, or I totally change the medium in which I'm working and go work on a quilt, go walking with a camera in hand. Get my mind on something else.
Lenora Rain-Lee Good I can work in my jambes ;-)
Lenora Rain-Lee Good Write! Write! Write! It doesn't matter if it is "good"--who cares?--it's written. This is truly a case of practice making perfect. Get in a writer's group, a critique group where you are the least experienced writer. Just be sure to check your ego at the door, and always remember they are critiquing what you've written, not you!
Lenora Rain-Lee Good Another Jiang Li book.
Lenora Rain-Lee Good I put my butt in the chair and my fingers on the keyboard! Other than that, I read a lot, and listen in on conversations while in public, and sometimes I read or hear something that triggers a story.
Lenora Rain-Lee Good I live a few miles from Madame Dorion Memorial Park. I've stopped many times, and became intrigued as to who this woman was.
