You should ask this of a younger person, because I was first inspired many years ago. A girl I knew suggested that my letters to her from my time in the Marines were so entertaining I could easily get a job with the local newspaper. So, I did. And my first story was on Page 1. I was hooked. I always was a reader and loved thrillers. Much later, after I met a world-class crook, I fictionalized my experiences in a 125,000-word novel. And I was off to the races. To date, I have written 29 thrillers and mysteries.
