Hi Cathy. Sorry it took so long for me to respond. Morgan is the first of three books in the Dark Justice series. The next one is called Hunt and the third will be about McCabe. I might use Bear as a secondary character in McCabe. Not sure yet if that'll happen or not as I'm still working on the third book. The over arching villain James Mockerie has surprises of his own to offer, so you know he'll be back. It's not out of the question to expect more books in this series, depending on how well it does. It's been a lot of fun to write. I really hope you enjoyed Morgan!

I watched the movie Nosferatu, and I absolutely loved the gruesome vampire. Something about him settled in my mind. Then a friend of mine came back from Louisiana and told me about her trip to New Orleans and the bayou. She described some of the people she'd met, and just like that my mind went to work. The villain in my series isn't a vampire, but he has some of those qualities. I loved writing all six books.

There's inspiration pretty much everywhere I look. News stories, friends' stories, my own experiences and sometimes just a single line from a movie will send my imagination into a tailspin.

I have just submitted a three book series to my agent. It's a little more grounded in reality than the last series I wrote. Hopefully I'll hear something positive soon.

I would say, let your imagination run wild, but always remember readers like a story that moves. Don't get bogged down in descriptive details. Dialogue and the relationships between the characters are the life blood of any story.

Writing allows me to escape from the real world and go to that place where everything is the way I'd like it to be. Or not. Wherever my mind takes me, I always know there will be an adventure of some sort waiting to unfold.

I haven't had too many problems with that, but when it happens I tend to stop writing and do something completely different, something unrelated to sitting at a desk. Walking works really well for me. I also work with seniors in a residential care facility. It's a great reality check.

Hi, the next book in my Shadows Series is called Scarlet Bells. It's the third in a six book series. The release date is March 8/16 from Samhain Publishing. Dark Lily (book 4) is set for release June 7/16. Blue Magnolia (book 5) September 6/16 and finally, Deadly Nightshade (book 6) December 6/16.
