Being able to tell the stories of the characters in my head. You know that old saying about a sculptor, how their sculpture is inside the medium they are sculpting, and they are just chipping away at the irrelevant parts to reveal the subject inside? That's a little like how I see writing fiction. These characters have a story that needs to be told, and I get the privilege of being the one to uncover it and tell it to the world!

I have a few different projects on the go at the moment. Primarily, I'm working on finishing up the final draft of the sequel to The Blood of the Called before I send it off to my editor! Then, I'm writing the first draft of the third book in the series. In the background, I'm also slowly but surely putting together an entirely new story, which, at the moment, can probably best be described as a queer, spy-romcom-meets-hitman...actual genre to follow, once it's all polished!
