Stuart Boon Good question and there may be some movement on this front. Some readers will be aware that Chaosium purchased Cubicle 7's backlog of Call of Cthulhu-related material a short time back, meaning that all things 'Cthulhu Britannica' including 'Shadows Over Scotland' are now Chaosium property. I can tell you that I had the pleasure of revisiting Shadows and updating it for 7E. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you when that might return in print as I know Chaosium's publication pipeline is full bursting with goodness, but let's just say the stars will soon be right.
Stuart Boon I'm currently working on a novel set in 1920s Glasgow. It's part historical fiction and part cosmic horror, and goes a little like this:

‘Having survived the Great War, two Glaswegian brothers return home to rebuild their lives only to come up against a dark force seeking to bring an end to everything they know.’

In addition, I'm doing some editing and writing on different game projects.
Stuart Boon That's a really interesting question actually. The difficult truth behind it is that inspiration doesn't often come easily. I love Jack London's classic quote: 'You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a stick.'

I think Jack is so right. When inspiration comes, it's great--and it comes from books, of course, and often film and music for me. But more often than not, writing isn't about inspiration... it's about personal motivation and persistence. Writing is a process of sustained accrual.

You have to sit at your desk--or wherever you write--and make writing happen. Have faith in your own process, in your creativity, and put pen to paper, over and over. That's what works for me.
