This leads to a twisted tale of a search to uncover his heritage while eluding the Irish Mob.

I read. Reading, to me, is like warming up physically for a race by stretching my body. Reading stretches by brain and motivates me to start writing. I'm inspired by literary authors like Colum McCann, Colson Whitehead, and Anthony Doerr, but also read a lot of crime fiction by authors like S.A. Cosby and Adrian McKinty.

My novel, Once A Welder, began as an essay memorializing four friends who were killed in an accident while we were doing repair work at an out-of-state shipyard. As I wrote and recalled events that led to our trip things took off and it turned into a conspiracy thriller.
