My upcoming book BANDUN GATE is based on a mystery from within my own experience! The story was inspired by an accidental discovery of a cursed site just outside Charleston, South Carolina and what happened after my daughter accidentally breached its boundaries.

My new book, Song of Old: An Advent Calendar for the Spirit, was inspired by those calendars for children that countdown to Christmas with a little treat each day. I wanted to offer something for adults that captured that excited anticipation while preparing the mind and soul for the holiday. Song of Old provides 24 short reflections --- one to read each day from December 1st through the 24th --- written from perspective of someone who lived during the time of Christ's birth. They cover the range of emotions associated with the season, from joy and elation to exhaustion and apprehension. Song of Old takes readers on a journey to Bethlehem, ending at a stable where an infant is waiting to welcome us.
