Just write! I know that isn't great advice, but for me I love to sit and get all the ideas down on paper (or actually my laptop!) and I just keep writing until I have nothing left to give that day.
The next day I will re-read what I have written, correcting any spelling, grammar or punctuation mistakes, whilst also adding or removing any text that 'doesn't fit'. I always pop removed text into another folder as inspiration for a later chapter/book.
I always reread each chapter before beginning a new chapter, and start from the beginning of the novel regularly to ensure that the book is going in the right direction, has 'flow' and feels 'right'.
I know this is probably not how writers are taught to write, but every story is individual so the author has to choose their own way to proceed with their writing in order to find the 'flow' that works best for them. x

I am currently working on the follow-up to The Light House Book One. This story catches up with some of our original characters - answering questions that were set in Bk 1 and filling out these characters further. It also introduces new characters who have a big part to play in consequent novels!

Most often I begin to imagine the story as I am working or participating in non-writing tasks. As the day wears on the story keeps flowing and the characters become 'real' - by the end of a day I 'know' the character or setting as though I were stood in front of it/them.
I am also an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction in the spiritual and metaphysical genre, so this collation of knowledge also helps me to write in the genre.

My recent novel, The Light House was a channelled novel, which takes into account some of my own personal experiences of spirit as a child. It isn't, though, an auto biography (LOL) I found that, as I started to write, the story flowed seamlessly and it even surprised me when I read it back!
