Two-sentence horror story? I don’t think I can do it. I’m not a fan of horror, nor am I good at writing scary things. I can do sad, maybe despairing, but nothing frightening. My best two-sentence horror story would be something like:
She quietly stepped into her room, her blood curdling immediately. There was a spider on the wall.
That’s about the best I can do. Not exactly horror, but pretty horrible in my opinion!

I can think of no mystery in my life, certainly not one that would inspire a story. I suppose that my ancestry is a bit of a mystery to me, so I could use that as the basis for a story! However, I’m not a big fan of that, since I feel like it’s already been done. I like to write things slightly out of the box.
Instead of doing a typical main-character-interested-in-family-history, I could do a more fantasy-type story where the main character actually goes back in time to meet his/her family! The main character could be struggling to blend in and fit in with the historical era and prove to the family members there that they are in fact related. Now that would be a fun story to write!

I don’t have much of a summer reading list. I normally just read books when I find them, when I feel like it, or when I have time. However, I do have some books I would like to read very soon, including The Dagger’s Rest by Tricia Mingerink and The Cry of the Raven by Morgan L. Busse, and maybe the rest of the books in those two series. I would also like to check out some of Christina Sinisi’s books and Jaye Elliot’s, and I’m very eager to read The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis!

My favorite fictional world is The Realm (from Wayne Thomas Batson’s Door Within Trilogy), but I’m not entirely sure what I would do there. Maybe be a Twelfth Knight and go on a mission for King Eliam to spread the truth of grace, glory, and goodness. And, if I’m dreaming, I would go to the Library of Light (even though I’m not a Sentinel) and read all of the stories and histories in there. Now that would be amazing!
Also, I would learn to play a lute. (I know I could do that here, but it would be way more fun in the Realm — everything would be more fun in a fictional world, right?)

It's a little hard for me to say exactly when book 2 will be released, but I hope to release it by mid-October. Thanks for the question!
