The idea for writing my memoir came from people who had completed the 20 weeks spiritual and trauma informed Bible Study I wrote called Brave Enough to Risk Change, to Live Free. People wanted a resource to give to friends that would inspire and encourage them to start the 20 week Brave Enough experience.
The idea for the children's book came from parents who asked me to write something based on the 20 week curriculum that would help them help their children write true non-verbal narratives about themselves. The story itself was inspired by a story I would tell my 4 year old granddaughter.
