Persistence is the key to success. You have to view writing as a process and rejections are part of that process. When you submit a manuscript, decide where you will send it if it is rejected and then send it out the day after it is rejected. Submitting several manuscripts lessens the defeat of rejection. If you still have several manuscripts out, having one rejection doesn't seem so terrible. Whatever you do, don't give up!
