Oooooh gosh, this is a hard one. I mean, if we're talking just straight up canon couple...
At the moment, I really have to go with Yuuri Katsuki/Victor Nikiforov from Yuri on Ice. I know, I know, obvious one. BUT. I am really in love with how gentle and accepting their relationship is and how they bring out the best in each other--in ways no one else has ever managed. No spoilers just in case, but when Victor realizes things aren't what he expected, he doesn't give up but also doesn't get pushy or petulant. He works out who Yuuri is, meticulously, while also supporting him on the level Yuuri needs and can accept. And Yuuri inspires Victor to think of himself and his life beyond the rink, which Victor was obviously aching to do.
I think all the best couples bring out the best in each other--and the people around them, too. So that's why Victuuri makes me cry in a good way.

"By the River" is part of a weird little project of mine. There will be one book for each of the major elements that's kinda similar, with the magical realism, but the books are otherwise unrelated. The next one is the 'air' book, and I just sent it to my editor, so fingers crossed!
However, I do plan to release a short 'epilogue' style story about Leith and Adam from "By the River"--and that'll be a freebie--sometime this year. It'll be here on Goodreads when it happens, for sure.
