I look for inspiration, be it in books, music, movies, or art. I tap into something that really inspires me, and I ask myself how I can translate that into my book. But I also feel its important to keep writing through the process. I do so with the understanding that much, if not all, of what I write while "blocked" will have to change, but the process itself is invaluable for overcoming hurdles. I learn as much about what isn't working this way as what is, and I can then find ways to address whatever isn't working.
