Probably the world inhabited by Suzanne Brockmann's characters. It's such a rich, supportive community (even with certain people hate each other), and so much fun! I'd love to be on the support staff at Troubleshooters, Inc. I can do filing, organizational stuff...as long as I don't have to handle telephone calls. LOL

The book I'm most looking forward to this summer is Suzanne Brockmann's Some Kind of Hero, coming out in July. Rick Riordan's Dark Prophecy and Nora Roberts' Come Sundown are also on my list, as are books that are already on my TBR (or soon will be) by Misty Simon (Adventures in Ghostsitting), Allison B. Hanson, Victoria Smith, and Delynn Royer.

That's a really hard one. I'm going to go with Harry and Ginny. :) The first time I listened to the audiobook, when she was running down platform 9 3/4, I knew she and Harry would be together! (Okay, it was wishful thinking as a romance writer and a shipper since I was 5—yay, Laura and Armando! LOL—but I was right!)
I always wished Ginny had more of a role in the last book, but she was incredibly badass and strong and good for Harry. I love their relationship!

My most recent published book is Full Fusion, written as NJ Damschroder.
I had an idea about a girl who felt disconnected from the world around her. Like there's an invisible barrier keeping her from really feeling the great life she has. Being who I am, I have to give that very common feeling a concrete, albeit paranormal reason. So Roxie is half angel, and that half is missing!

Inspiration comes naturally, without prompting, so I don't have any rituals or anything. Unfortunately, writing for me lately has felt like a privilege, something I'm not allowed to do unless all my drudge work is done. That's a bad thing, because the drudge work is never done! LOL So I have to treat it like work and make it be the most important thing on my to-do list.

I'm actively writing Harte and Soul, the next book in my Soul Series. I have a few other things in the works, too! :)

My advice varies depending on the writer's goals.
If you're writing because you love it and don't care what happens with it, then don't listen to anyone's advice. Just keep loving it and doing it. :)
If you want to be a published author, my initial advice is always that if you can quit, do it. To have any kind of success at this, you really need to be unable to quit. If thinking about it makes you queasy or depressed or stiffens your spine and makes you rebel...then you've got what it takes, deep down. After you know that, you can ignore all the noise that infuses this industry.

I think reading a review or getting an e-mail from a reader who says they loved all the things about the story that I loved most. When a reader "gets it," there's no higher euphoria. :)
But internally speaking, I think the best thing is when I'm doing the dishes or something and can't wait to get back to the book I've been reading, and then I realize it's actually the book I've been *writing*. That's pretty awesome, too. :)

Being blocked for me is usually about not knowing what's going to happen next in the story. The "bad" way I deal with it is to avoid working on the book for an inappropriate length of time, thinking the answer will "come" to me. The RIGHT way is to just write. It's usually like trying to run with a bungi cord tether attached to your back, but eventually my brain breaks through and the answer appears on the page.
I've had two episodes of TRUE writer's block in my life: when I was pregnant. I could edit, but really struggled to write new material. With Number Two, I knew I was going into labor that night because I wrote 8 pages in the evening. Sure enough! LOL
