David Shockley The mailman waived every single day and today was no exception. Michael waived back, grinned, and then sighed as he recalled the day the poor man had died three years ago.

David Shockley Jurassic Park for sure. What would I do there? Likely, get eaten. ;)

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
David Shockley My family lost a beloved pet, so I thought I would write them a little story about the adventures I imagined him having 'after' he'd 'moved on'.

David Shockley Being able to dream full-time.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
David Shockley I will have to quote Stephen King here. “If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot. There's no way around these two things that I'm aware of, no shortcut.”

How do you deal with writer’s block?
David Shockley I try and read more. I also pour on the movies! Movies from my youth go a long way towards curing my writer's block.
