Claude Dancourt I don't know if I can single out only one favorite fictional couple. Elizabeth/Darcy of course comes to mind, but I like Aeneas/Cassandra as well, Peabody/Emerson and countless others.

I like balanced couples, where both partners are both strong and fragile (and a bit pigheaded).
Claude Dancourt I learnt not to stress over it too much. If I have 100 words I like, it doesn't matter if it took one week to get there. Better to write slowly, and keep it, than force a thousand words on the page, and delete the whole thing afterward.
Claude Dancourt I can rewrite the ending as many times as I like.
Claude Dancourt Keep writing! Don't let anything or anyone pulling you down. Write for yourself first.
Claude Dancourt I'm working on a treasure hunt. My characters reconnect after six years to look for a spanish treasure lost somewhere in the Caribbean.
Claude Dancourt Wow, well, I don't know; everything inspires me, I guess. Sometimes it's a sentence I hear, one I read, a book, a song, a photograph...
Claude Dancourt The opening scene of RECKLESS ILLUSIONS came to me while I was eating fish&chips with a friend in my favorite irish pub. We were discussing novel genres, and she told me I should give suspense a try.
