A decade ago, I was sitting in the stands of a professional football game in a full stadium. During a lull in the action, I began to look around at the game-goers. The former journalist in me began to see all of the stories, connections and lives coming together for a moment in time. The Corn Husk Experiment follows the lives of five lovable characters whose paths begin separately, but ultimately weave together and collide inside a stadium of 75,000 others who are unknowingly facing similar everyday challenges and emotions. I think readers may identify with at least one of the five characters. Chapters are formatted and rotated in a way that allow characters' stories to be told through each of their points of view. I hope readers will enjoy the refreshing theme of having connections with one another.
