I once taught electronics and used to write vocational books for schools and colleges. I have always read novels during my limited free time, so when I retired I thought I would try my hand at writing a novel for my own amusement and to prove to myself that I could do it. One page led to another, and before long I had a chapter and a then another chapter and before long I had written a novel, which inspired me to write a second one.

The band was Satan's Whiskers Carrie but unless you were a teenager in the nineteen sixties and lived in the Blackburn area of Lancashire you are unlikely to have heard of us. I did meet famous artists and famous bands which I've mentioned in my book.
