Write. I know that sounds basic, but WRITE WRITE WRITE. My first book started when I was eleven, and it's so embarrassing to read back. But that initial writing taught me what my own style was, taught me what not to do, and taught me how to grow through practice. So write, rewrite, and don't pressure yourself to finish anything any time soon!

For me inspiration is everywhere. Sometimes it's in a phrase said by someone that sticks in my mind. Sometimes it's beautiful scenery. I especially love old stories of greek mythology/lore, and reading Bible stories. All of these stick in my mind and my mind just starts building!

I personally think writer's block only happens when we authors are trying to force a narrative. So I just sit back and try to tap into the creativity swirling all around me. Once I release the outcome and stop trying to control, it usually starts flowing again!

I constantly have several WIPs going. I'm working on finishing up the Children of Shadows series currently, but I have a few others that I hope to finish in the coming years as well!

I actually had a dream. I dreamed that I had a tattoo on my arm of a girl with blue paint streaked across her eyes. I knew her name was Rabid. When I woke up, I just had this story brimming under my skin and I couldn't stop writing! It changed from the initial draft and expanded, but it's got the core the same!
