(view spoiler)[My newest book is called "Eye Candy" and the two main characters are Trent; whose a trucker, and Candy; a bar owner.
Trent came to me in a dream. A big handsome big rig driver with eyes that went from gray to blue with his mood. Then a few weeks later, Candy a pretty little thing; who spent most of her time fighting off guys at her bar, came to me the same way. Their story built from there, and they're coming soon from Melange Publishing. (hide spoiler)]

All sorts of things inspire me. Sometimes it's just seeing someone in a wheat field inspires a story. My dreams also inspire ideas, then sometimes I just get a notion about a character. I never know when it will come or how, but it sure is fun.

My advise to aspiring writers, is to hone your craft, take classes. Publishers just don't want an idea anymore, they want you to know how to write. So, if this is what you want you're life's work to be, get out there and learn all you can about it. This way when you submit your story to a Publisher, they are going to see how committed you are to being an author. Good luck!

For me, the best part of being a writer is putting the ideas in your head down on paper for everyone to read and enjoy. Remember, authors love to hear how much you've liked their work, that's very important.

I don't usually get writer's block. However, I have, and when I do the only thing I find that works, is to just step away. I put the book down and work on something else. Then a couple of days later I find I'm back on track and the ideas start to flow again. You just can't force it. :)
